Nick Donovan is de man die schuil gaat achter wildwildsky. Onder die naam maakt hij prachtige ingetogen liedjes. Na jaren van electronische muziek in Berlijn vond Nick het tijd om terug te gaan naar de akoestische basis. There is light and darkness in this time of year for many people and the celebrations of the year are often counterbalanced by missing our loved ones. Donovan wrote this song after losing his three year old son. “Me and my boy were both born in December, and I knew that Winter would be on our doorstep soon again. I felt I needed to have a song to remember him at this time, one of his favourite times of year. In a way it felt like this song was armour to put on for what is coming – essentially a tough time to love and remember.”
