Josiah and the Bonnevilles liegt er niet om (7.8)

Waar het vandaag om gaat is liedje Lie With Me van Josiah and the Bonnevilles. Dat liedje vinden we tamelijk goed en doet ons denken aan de sound van Jake Bugg. Inclusief mondharmonica, da’s sowieso goed. Het liedje komt op EP On Trail, waarvan er nog geen releasedatum bekend is. Wel staan er een aantal liedjes op Spotify, waaronder het Dylanesque Please.

Dan nog wat achtergrond. Hoe ze aan de bandnaam komen? Josiah is de naam van de frontman. De ‘Bonnevilles’ legt zich als volgt uit: “I would show you a photo if I had one. I had this Pontiac Bonneville that I had right before I left Tennessee in like 2008. I beat the shit out of this car–we drove it back and forth all the time, until it died. So Steve came up with the name–it ‘s a way for the car to live forever.”
